i live overseas and have been submit my parents' tax returns through the portal. initially, when i first got the log in details, i could get in no problem. but recently, the portal rarely lets me log in (i type in my credentials but the page freezes-- i've checked with all browsers if this problem persists and it does) and when i do finally get in, i get an error message when i click on the financial aid documents tab. i'll call the financial aid office and let them know of this problem, but do you think they will mind if my forms are late? it makes sense for me to submit them online because otherwise mailing them will take up to 2 weeks...

Wont be a problem if the forms are late, USConnect is bugged for everyone at the moment.

Now it’s up.

USConnect is still showing that we need to submit CSS Profile and FAFSA, though they were submitted on Feb. 1. Should we not worry about this and assume USC’s system hasn’t accepted them yet?

I’m a little paranoid about missing Financial Aid deadlines.

My son is a returning sophomore. I completed both forms on Monday and then showed as received within 24 hours. I would definitely follow up on it.

Thank you NC Mom for making me pay more attention to it. I just called USC FA office and it turns out my daughters SSN was incorrect on her CommApp application and that is why it didn’t match up. I should have worried about it sooner. I thought I had covered all my bases when we found out she used the wrong SSN. Now I think I have to check with all the schools individually.

Glad you figured it out! Good luck to your daughter!
