USCP Question

United States Cultural Pluralism (USCP) is a requirement for Cal Poly. You must take at least 1 subject to satisfy this requirement. I noticed one of these courses included a personal health class, so I’m wondering if this requirement was satisfied in the CSU General Education route I took when I was transfering to Cal Poly, or if I have to complete the USCP course there. Anyone have any ideas?

My guess would be that you’d have to take a USCP course here, unless the other course specifically stated that it met the requirement. They’re pretty weird about that type of thing. USCP is kinda dumb though (but usually easy classes). With my major, I ended up taking probably 4 or 5 courses that met the requirement anyway.

As I’ve been made to understand through talking with an adviser, that as a transfer student, you will be required to compete it as part of the Upper-Division Arts & Humanities requirement. If you are going to SOAR, I was told that the advisers will explain it more on a case by case basis for transfers.

Thanks guys, I have it figured out. I built my class schedule from now until I graduate. I just switched one of my GE upper division classes for a USCP one.
