So i was accepted into both U of San Diego business as well as LMU business. I do know that USD's business school is ranked and LMU's is not, however does anyone have any insight of either of them. I guess how good are they?

thanks a lot to anyone that can help!

anyone out there??

It probably comes down to whether you like San Diego or Los Angeles better, since each is better known and respected in their respective markets. That being said, both have amazing campuses and student life, can't really go wrong.

thanks for the post!

bump, thanks

One is Jesuit and one is not. Both are Catholic. I think you can't go wrong with either one of them.....but you might check the admissions rates for their graduates to MBA programs and their job prospects. Each has a unique culture on campus, so DEFINITELY visit and get a feel for it and see if you fit into the typical student profile.....you will know it in your gut when you are on campus.

Talk to profs and email some of them and see how they respond to you.

tell them you are an admitted student and are considering whether to accept the offer of admission...and see what they say.

We had an Epiphany last year when we did this.....one was a not so hot response when we were on campus of one school and one was a surprisingly more positive experience than we expected.

Are you are social person or a brainiac who prefers to be in a library cubicle studying alone? Are you are frat/sorority person or not? Are you a person who loves sports and needs a sports fix daily? Or someone who can take sports and or leave it? Are you a "typical college campus" person or an urbanite?

College is what YOU make of it and what YOU bring to the table of learning and living. 90% of college students will tell you they LOVE their school and that is a good thing. There is no such thing as a bad school in my opinion, only a bad choice for particular people...though even that is rare.

Whatever you decide, embrace your school and make a positive difference while you are there. Good luck!

and btw, our Epiphany was not at either one of your schools.....but eastern schools.

thank you that was really, really helpful!

bump, yay keep it comin'

Both have strong business programs. However, my friend visited both and preferred LMU. She said that LMU's students seemed to like their school more...they seemed happier, I guess.

i also visited both and liked LMUs campus feel over USDs as well. USD is old and maybe does not feel like a college to some people, the buildings are beautiful though.

bump, thanks guys!

USD is a much better school overall and has a MUCH better business program.
