I can’t log into my portal. Updating?
May be a long 5 weeks. Glad to see there are “Terero for a Day” visits in late April.
@MA2024 Accepted students day is April 5th though.
Just trying to look on the bright side
Did you end up calling?

Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I think I showed a lot of passion in my common application essays
Congrats to all of you that have been accepted so far. And it sounds like there are a lot more acceptances yet to come over the next few weeks.
We are from the East Coast and trying to help my son weigh his options. He wants to study business, probably finance. Does anyone on this thread know how USD does with recruiting into financial jobs? Do students typically get jobs in the San Diego area?
Daughter got email last night-accepted!
Congratulations to everyone who’s been accepted so far! I have a quick question. My daughters portal still reads: Complete - Ready for Review. I was wondering when you applied. Unfortunately, she didn’t get her application in until the deadline and I was wondering if that mattered. Any insight would be appreciated.
I applied early November and mine still says Ready For Review
My D was accepted, but did not apply particularly early (probably only turned everything in a day or two before deadline). She has been in contact with her admissions rep though (sent some updates on some significant awards in the last six weeks) and I think showed a high degree of interest, so maybe that helped. She’s a super strong candidate from an EC & GPA perspective, but her test scores are, at best, average
I submitted my application on 12/10/19 and was admitted to USD on Monday, 2/24/20. Hope this helps!
Applied before Thanksgiving. Admitted on 2/24.
UW GPA 3.88
W GPA 4.05
SAT 1370
Applied the day the application was due. Admitted on 2/24
UW 3.7
ACT 26
Congrats, Raisinsmith! Way to GO!
Hi collegemomjam I am a mom of another USD applicant (daughter) and I also happen to be a USD alum, living in Northern CA now. Finance degrees from USD are highly regarded throughout all of California. Many recent grads are placed in San Diego but it seems even more so in Orange County, LA, and the Bay Area. Huge USD networking groups in those areas. Go Toreros! P.S. My daughter’s status still says “ready for review”. She submitted on the last day as she did with all of her apps. She liked to make sure they were just how she wanted them until the end. She has 3.95W and 3.75UW and 1300 SAT. Anxiously awaiting!
I submitted my application end of September and it still says Ready for Review.
@Herewego10 thanks so much! That’s what we thought! I wish the new business school would be ready sooner than anticipated…I think they said 2022…that would sweeten the deal.
Daughter submitted an hour before the deadline. She was accepted on Monday. 3.79 UW, 1450 SAT, 32 ACT
She decided not to be considered for honors program and therefore was not asked to apply.
Thank you for your reply and congratulations! My daughter is in a similar situation with EC’s, GPA and test scores although she wasn’t in contact with her admissions counselor. I hope that doesn’t work against her.
