Sorry , meant to say popular on this site.
Blue 8.5x11 envelope arrived today! $18,000 per year scholarship. Not invited to Honors. First admited on 2/24.
For anyone trying to figure out if they received a scholarship before their blue envelope arrives, for what it’s worth, on her portal under the “Admitted” tab, there’s a link to register for the Merit Overnight program on March 16 (I was trying to figure out if those who didn’t receive any merit aid also had the link to that but I don’t know for certain. Someone posted about not receiving any scholarships and not being invited to the Merit Overnight. But it’s hard to say for sure if that’s an indication or not until we get a few more responses).
If you want to know her stats, just click on my name and look at some past posts. I don’t have many so it should be easy to find.
Good luck everyone!
@UCmama Both. Some non-honors decisions were released on 2-24. Seems like a few regular people heard yesterday as well. However, decisions will be released over the entire month.
Thank you! Trying to be patient like everyone else, but it’s so hard. It all works out how it’s supposed to. Good luck to all that haven’t heard yet!
@UCmama I’m still waiting too. I am not that concerned because I know I will end up where I am supposed to be regardless of what happens.
I was admitted yesterday and not into the honors program. Seems like they are releasing every Monday.
Still awaiting a response, but I did submit my application the last day I could, so I’m wondering if that’s affecting my release date.
No correlation for that @peacelily555
Oh god…now I’m just scared lmao
Now we have to wait for next Monday??
The overnight merit program is only to admitted students who have been offered select merit scholarship
My daughter got admitted last Wednesday, 2-26
$25k scholarship a year
Invited to the Honors program
I was admitted on 2/24 but I haven’t gotten any mail about merit aid or honors programs yet.
However there is an option on my portal for the overnight merit program. Does that mean I was awarded a merit scholarship?
Yes, according to the link the overnight merit program are only for admitted students who have been offered merit scholarship. Here’s the link

You should get a blue envelope on the mail which specifies your admittance as well as merit scholarship
I just got waitlisted from Chapman today, hopefully that doesn’t mean I’ll get rejected from USD. This year has been incredibly stressful with the college application process, it’s hard to keep waiting? Anyone else in the same boat?
Yep, got into chapman spring, but waitlisted for fall, doesn’t make any sense, I have a 1400 with a 4.0 and tons of extracurriculars. These schools were my safeties
Is anyone else as the same boat as me? Like they received acceptance but wasn’t awarded any merit and does anyone know if financial aid is available yet on the portal? Sorry if it’s a dumb question.
@jf20201 I’m the same way. Could find out in the package they mail out.
@moundalay Yeah, the blue envelope with the letter of acceptance doesn’t give any details about financial aid either. It just says more information is on the portal but I can’t seem to find it. Same thing for you where nothing specific regarding financial aid is in the letter?
I’m stressed about my chances of getting in USD is a bit of a reach school for me and I’m worried.
3.5 GPA
28 ACT
Plenty of Honors and AP classes
Varsity Athlete
200 plus hours of service
Hmm, cannot get onto the USD login page. Fingers crossed more acceptances being uploaded. One can only hope.
