USD Fall 2013 Applicants!

@2013dreamer oh wow! What part of Vegas? I’m in the Centennial Hills area (: I completely agree, so much more personal.

@Clarissawz not sure if he’ll choose USD but it is high on the list. Patiently waiting to hear on April 1 from a few others before he decides. We are in Anthem area, Coronado HS. Congrats on your #1 choice and acceptance!

@Clarissawz Wow, what a small world! I actually live in Centennial Hills as well.

@calilz mine just said complete and ready for review before I heard

oh thank you! and mines a little lower I have a 3.54 I believe but many volunteer hours and I am a representative for the teens of Irvine with other members from the surrounding schools but im nervous i still haven’t received anything.

I was accepted on February 20th with a $25,000/year scholarship. (It’s called the Alcala Award I believe.) I received the packet in the mail and my portal was updated that same day. I have a 4.3 W GPA, 32 ACT, 2150 SAT, and good extracurriculars/essays. I most likely won’t attend, but it’s exciting to get accepted! Good luck to all of you!

I got accepted a week ago. No information about scholarship whatsoever. Guess I didn’t receive anything.

@2013dreamer No way! What school? I go to NWCTA, zoned for Arbor View though. So your for sure attending? How exciting! Maybe I can actually know someone going to USD now hahah (:

@NobleFlair Just keep checking your portal! I’m sure not everyone’s financial aid is posted yet. I know it took mine nearly 3 weeks after admission for my award to be completely posted.

@clarissawz I go to Centennial. I’m not positive I’m going. Still weighing my options, though the scholarship has made it awfully tempting.

Accepted!
1960 SAT
30 ACT
3.9 weighted GPA

I didn’t get an official email/letter, though. They sent me an email saying “congratulations on your acceptance” followed by an invitation to a multicultural experience overnight.
My portal has a tab that says “admitted.”

I love San Diego, so if USD gives me lots of financial aid, I’m taking it!

It says “Bachelor of Arts” on my program got USD, though. I applied for Bachelor of Science??

@bundlesofjuules everyone is a Bachelor of Arts until we declare our majors. That’s sophomore year, I think. Congrats on your acceptance! (:

@2013dreamer If you decide to attend, let me know because it’d be nice to know someone else from Vegas that’s going (:

Any international student going to USD??

Rite here!

@NobleFlair where are you from? (:

My daughter hasn’t heard anything yet from USD, and it is one of her top choices. Has anyone received denial letters yet? Hoping they just haven’t reviewed her application yet, but am forced to wonder if she has been denied and they will send out all rejections near the end of the month. Does anyone know how USD handles denials?

Originally from Myanmar (Burma) but grew up in Singapore.

Just got accepted today!
4.22 GPA
1730 SAT
Good luck to those waiting!

I got accepted too.

Here’s my stats as an international student for reference
2040 SAT
3.20 GPA

All the admitted USD students should join the “University of San Diego Class of 2017” Facebook group. Feel free to add me, Clarissa, too (:

Rejection letters have gone out, I got rejected on Monday. I was extremely mad because there were plenty of students who got in from my school with way lower stats then I had. I was in touch with an athletics coach who said I should get in but I guess something went wrong. Oh well, USD wasn’t even my top choice, it’s just very frustrating to receive a rejection letter from a school that should’ve been my back up.
