USD Low GPA admissions chances

Alright, so I’m a senior at a Catholic private HS and USD (University of San Diego) is my top dream school to attend. But I’m afraid I might not have a good chance at making the school because of my low GPA, I have some personal reasons to discuss in my application in regards to that. I’ve visited the campus already and I felt belonging over there! I’ve been trying to make connections w/ counselors to let them know I wanna be there by asking admissions questions and such. So here is some info. about me.
Race: Hispanic
Religious Affiliation: Catholic
State of residency: California
CGPA: 3.2
SAT1: 1060 (Taking 2 more)
Graduating with 6 AP classes:
-AP Spanish
-AP Government

-AP Eng. and Lang
-AP Psychology
Volunteer Service: -Homeless care help
-I work with the catholic church (EC Member)
Total hours: 120

-3 years of high school soccer
-willing to play over there if it were to help my admissions chances

I also want to become an attorney and major in political science
-Went to UC Irvine for a Law Institute for a week and received a certificate

Please if any of you have any admissions advice please tell me! I truly believe this is the college for me despite me being underqualified academically. Thank you!

Make sure your priest writes one of your letters of recommendation, and, retake that ACT.

They don’t have the best Financial aid, so make sure you can afford it. It is very expensive.

Fantastic idea! Thank you for the advice

@cakeguy10 - If you could get recruited for soccer, that would certainly help admissions. But USD is a Div 1 athletic program, so I assume that isn’t that easy to do. Good luck on your college journey.

Shoot, I also forgot to add that I am a school ambassador and have recieved a leadership award freshman year for being team captain for soccer.

UPDATE: Just submitted my application and had my junior year AP English Teacher, Counselor, and Soccer Coach write my recommendations. I ended the first semester with a 3.7 weighted GPA. I have my doubts about my admissions decision but I won’t let it get it me that much. My personal statement consisted of my deficiency in English/Speech/Linguistic skills and how I’ve improved from Special Ed to AP classes in English.

You sound like a really great kid!! I wouldn’t be too down on yourself about your chances. What was your final ACT or SAt score?

@maevechrist15 Thank you! (: I’ve been pretty stressed out with this application haha. Unfortunately, I took 2 more SATs and I only improved 10 points. But as of right now, my application status says “Committee Review”, so I should hear back this week!
