I realized today that I do not use CC for anything but talking on HSL. What other things should do you do? I feel like I am missing out on something.

I use it as a notice board for when UCs post(ed) their decisions.

I’ve gone to the school specific forums a decent amount (esp during the HSL “dead period” which I shall not go into more detail over as I am quite fond of this username) but I’ve never strayed into SAT Prep forums and such and I didn’t even realize this site had a non-forum bit until a month ago!

TYIL, do you think I should get a copyright on this?

^ Yes I know I stole it from you, and Imma let you know when I think of my own way of expressing that sentiment but until then…

Oh my gosh…CC got me into college. I owe it a lot!!
My GCs are misinformed…apathetic…my parents have a lot of problems. I learned the best ways to ACT/SAT prep on here. AP too.
So HSL is just a small part of my CC experience. :)

I use it to see what the stats of other people are and then wallow in pity for my own stats. Then I check on the spread of AP test scores across the nation in the summer, who got acceptance letters and where, which AP guides are the best, etc. It is my lifeline when I don’t have my decision in hand yet and it’s really funny seeing the things people post, esp on HSL.

^^ It appears as if you have only joined this month… suspicious (i.e. edit while you still can!)

No, I was open that this is an alternate account because I post more “personal” problems. I’ve been around since November of 08.
Anyway, back to the OP [:

Yeah… I used other forums on CC for my first few months. Then I found out college stuff gets boring pretty quickly. I’d say at least 95% of all my posts, both those counted and those uncounted, were made in HSL.

But I post in the AP exam section every now and then. The SAT section too, but I’m past that phase lol.

I lurk and try to find people from my school/other people I know so that I can see their stats and/or mention it to people in real life and/or stalk them. I also read chances threads/decisions threads in order to get my fix of stats pornography.

I use the SAT and AP sections sometimes. They’re pretty useful for me.

Used to post a lot in the SAT/AP forums, some posts in various college forums, College Search and College Admissions, a fair number in College Life and the Parents Forum and a lot in the UCLA forum. You don’t get 2100 posts just hanging out in HSL.

Also: College Confidential Cafe RIP

I go to the subfora for my colleges. Mostly Harvard, just because there are a lot of people there and some good threads. Sometimes Yale, but it’s less active. AfAm subforum is pretty dece. I read College Admissions but I don’t post there that much. I lurk.

I’ve been to the testing area a bit, but it’s not that interesting. I mostly just go when scores come out. Sometimes even when they’re not my scores.

It seems like College Admissions is less active than it used to be. When I was new, I thought it had a lot of really interesting topics. Now it just seems to be mostly a collection of kinda lame questions. I don’t know if that’s just a matter of perception though.

I mostly visit the AP Test Forum. SAT Reasoning - only post and read when I have just recently taken the SAT. ACT - not planning to take it, so no point in posting or reading the thread. SAT II - kinda boring.

^^I think I agree with you. Now when I go there, I’m pretty much always disappointed.
