Use my AP Calculus or just take calculus?

Hi, I'm a freshman for the upcoming fall. I made a 5 on my AP Calculus test, and wondering if it's a good idea to take M 408N, or just use my test score for it?

Does anyone know who I talk/email if I have questions about the classes I just registered? I"m mostly concerned about my calculus, because it'll save me some money, but at the same time, I'm afraid there are things my math teacher haven't taught me in Calculus AB.

I'm in College of Natural Science undeclared.

Does anyone know if I pay for the tuition now (I'm full time), that I can still add/drop my classes (staying full time)?

Thank thanks :)

There is an email to contact the Math Advising Office in the end.

go by your ALEKS test score too. At orientation for parents, they indicated that you really need a strong ALEKS score to succeed in calculus at UT.

If your AP calc was A/B, not B/C, you might wish to re-take.

My CNS freshman son had perfect math test scores and a 5 on calc b/c and is retaking the calc sequence with strong ALEKS scores.

Thank you nuum83! My major is in health (maybe physical therapy), but I do not think it requires calculus or at all. I think I should go and take it anyways  It can be a refresher, and possibly a future A…

Yeah I’m not in college yet, but I’ve already convinced myself that I won’t skip any classes if I could due to AP scores because I could have been taught it differently and use it differently then how I should, and heck it’s an easy A and good for GPA. thumbs up
