Hey all,

I was accepted as a transfer student to McIntire. At my current university, I am allowed to purchase e-textbooks on my iPad and use it in class. Does anyone know if this will be possible at UVA? I have found that e-textbooks are much more economical. They are usually half the price of physical textbooks.

Thanks.

I’m under the impression that students are more likely to work off of powerpoint slides during class than the textbook.

I found that used textbooks from Amazon were cheaper than ebooks - esp. if you sign up for free Amazon prime with your UVa email to get free shipping.

Some professors don’t let you use computers in class, but you don’t need the books in class usually so it shouldn’t matter.
