Does the University Bookstore buy back ALL used books at the end of the term?

Is it worth buying a used book at a cheaper price from a secondary source (ex. FaceBook: marketplace)? Can that book then consequently be resold?

Yes, you can sell all your books back. But, if your book won't be used the following semester (because the class isn't offered or there's a newer edition) or if a lot of people sell back the same book, then you'll get back pennies on the dollar. Paperbacks are also worth a lot less. I once sold back a paperback I paid $30 for and they gave me $4 for it.

It's absolutely worth buying from a secondary source then selling it back. They do accept those books and you won't lose so much money in the end. In fact, I remember I had few science/math textbooks where I bought them new from a third party on amazon and I ended up selling them back for a profit at the end of the semester :)
