Used score choice, maybe i shouldnt have?

On my october SAT i went up in all three sections from may and i asked my guidance counselor and he said if you went up in all three just send that one, so i only sent the october but the schools i applied to say they want all my scores. Will they find out that i didnt send my worse May ones? Could this affect my admission decision?

When you use score choice, wasn’t there a warning that you are doing it against the school’s stated policy and you had to manually override that? I don’t think anyone know for sure what can happen or whether the school will have a way to find out or not. Your counselor made me do it excuse is not very credible either way.

I don’t think it stated the schools policy, but still, i guess ill just have to wait it out.

After adding the university for score report and hit continue, there is a big disclaimer page describing that you should consult the policy of each school, then if you press “Choose Scores” next to the university, you get the following message at the top on the next page:

XXX UNIVERSITY has indicated that it considers all SAT scores in its review process and requires that you submit all SAT scores from all test dates.

Then when try to remove a score, you get another pop up saying:

You’ve chosen not to send a test that was recommended based on this college’s or scholarship program’s SAT score-use practice.
Be sure you understand the college’s or scholarship program’s SAT score-use practice or select “Help me choose test scores to send” for step-by-step guidance.
Select the “Ok” button below if you wish to remove this test score from your score report or “Cancel” button if you wish to keep this test score on your score report.

So when I did it just now, CB warns me at 3 different instances, and one specifically said the university in question wants all scores.

“NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY strongly encourages you to submit your scores each time you take the SAT.”

I’m fine, it encourages, not requires.

And it is the same at every single one of my colleges, im in the clear.

In fact, i havent seen one college with that message ttparent, what college was that for?

Yes, Northeastern does not require all scores. There is also a document published by CB that has policy of all schools.

Ah, thank you ttparent.
