Useful Information For First-Year Students

Hello guys and girls,

I was browsing Cornell's website and found a lot of useful information. In fact, there is so much info so that I decided to share it with everyone on CC.

First, the official To-Do List for 1st-year students:
<a href="https://newstudents.cornell.edu/first-year/todolist/#todo-neid%5B/url%5D">https://newstudents.cornell.edu/first-year/todolist/#todo-neid</a>
There is basically everything you need to know. The steps are laid out in. I found it very convenient.

Going back a page, To-Do List, Spotlight and Forms. NetID & Email, Courses & Colleges, Health & Fitness, Computing, Finances, and Move-In Day. You can find all of these at:
Welcome - First-Year - New Students - Cornell University

If you are one of those people who like to watch videos, you will find this link very useful as well:
QuickTour - New Students - Cornell University

In the video, two Cornellians talk about the University. I thought it was very well made and entertaining.

Good luck. See you all next fall!

hey is it for the fall session???

I am not sure about that. If anyone can find out, please post on this thread.

edit:
Never mind, I just read that this is for the spring semester. For us it’s going to be available in April:

So if we’ll be there for Fall 2011 we don’t have to fill those forms out yet?

Yeah, I think the stuff for Fall 2011 will be up in April.

angelin, no, not yet. I’d wait till we get more info from the FinAid office and follow THEIR steps (since we all applied ED). But this to-do list shows what documents we need to fill out/send to Cornell in general.
