Useful Wesleyan Links

Greetings from Middletown, CT!

As a current student at Wes, I wanted to compile a list of really valuable websites that I use on a daily or weekly basis. I wish I had these websites readily available to me during my college admissions process because they are great resources to have (either to show what social events are going on, what President Roth is up to, the most current course catalog, ect). I would recommend starting at the Admission homepage for prospective student questions, but these are some additional resources that might give you a better sense of Wesleyan.

Wesleying:
[Wesleying
Wesleying is a 100% student-run and student-generated blog. This website is a great resource to have to stay on top of what events are happening, if they cost any money, locations, times, etc. Wesleying also keeps students updated if Wes is in the news and lets them know what current students and alumni are doing. Wesleying is also a great navigational tool to other useful links.

President Roth’s Blog:
Office</a> of the President - Wesleyan University](<a href="http://wesleying.org/%5DWesleying%5B/url">http://wesleying.org/)
President Michael Roth has his own website with his bio, speeches, publications, and blog. Yes, I said blog. He has over 200 posts and updates frequently. It’s great to see how involved he is in Wesleyan (he teaches a class every semester!) and all of the work he does at a national level for our institution.

WesMaps:
<a href="http://www.wesleyan.edu/wesmaps/%5B/url%5D">http://www.wesleyan.edu/wesmaps/</a>
WesMaps is the most current and comprehensive Course Catalogue for the 2011-2012 academic year. With an open curriculum, over 900 courses a year, and the ability to create one-on-one tutorials with professors, Wesleyan students enjoy the freedom explore their diverse interests and follow their passions.

Wesleyan Argus:
The Wesleyan Argus
This is our student-run newspaper. It was founded in 1868 and is the country’s oldest twice-weekly printed college newspaper.

Athletics Website:
Athletics - Wesleyan University
As a student-athlete I am constantly on this site. It gives the coaches contact information, schedules, and rosters. Most importantly for prospective student-athletes, there is an online supplement for recruiting purposes that you can find here:
