I am a high school junior at the top of my class and am interested in medicine. I have interned many doctors including ER and OR doctors. Can anybody tell me their experience with the USF accelerated program, or the USF medical school?

Many apply for the USF 7 year medical program, few survive it. The program is designed for students who were literally born with a stethoscope in their hand. The students have to be off the charts in their academic temperament, work ethic, study skills and abilities. There is little wiggle room in the program, if you enter it you need to be dead certain medicine is your calling. You should consider going to an orientation/program description session at USF to learn more about the USF Honors College and its accelerated 7 year medical program; most info you might get in this CC blog is hearsay and not very reliable. Good Luck.

@aglet01 Doing the 7 year accelerated program is the best choice for medical school. As much as i know, there is a huge competition in getting in and only 6-10 students are chosen every year. i am also shooting for the same program at USF. hope i will get in and you too. fingers crossed.
