Hey I applied for the Fall 2010 semester as a transfer student from a community college back in January. I was wondering do you receive notification of your acceptance through your Oasis account and by letter??? Or do they tell you their decision just mail???

Check your Oasis account often, admission status shows up there first. USF will send a letter later too, but you’ll probably see the news first online with Oasis. Good luck!

OK thanks, Its been about 5 weeks now should I be hearing something soon??? I applied to UCF around the same time in early January and I have already gotten accepted. Is this normal for USF???

It’s frustrating having to wait for an answer. Phone the USF admissions office Monday or email them today for an update on your status.

Hang in here dude… It will all work out…

I applied in October (transfer to PoliSci, Fall 2010) and I got my acceptance letter in the mail around Feb. 15th or so. It’s rolling admission, so I think that you should hear back within 4-6 weeks of them having all of the necessary transcripts and materials. I hadn’t checked my OASIS prior to that so I don’t know if it was on OASIS first, but I’d imagine it would be.

Most likely it will say on OASIS if you have gotten in first, and the letter should be about a week behind that.

i got rejected from USF, My SAT scores are: M:690 CR:640, W:560 total: 1890 GPA: 3.68 unweighted, 4.23 weighted. i am a permanent resident, and i had to send a photocopy of my I-551 form by April 15th which i did but the decision of USF was made the 9th two days before i sent my I-551 form photocopy. DId i get rejected for this issue? And if I did should I appeal the decision of USF?

Well I finally got accepted today!!! Yea!!!
Once they received my final transcripts stating that I’ve been awarded my AA degree they went right ahead and accepted me. I applied back in January for the Fall 2010 semester for Civil Engineering.

This is what is stated on my Oasis Account

@Cspalto07, first of congrats! I applied a little late for Fall 2010 as a transfer prob around May 10th or something, so I checked Oasis about 2 weeks ago and said that they are deferring my admission for additional review, and they had received my transcript May 27th, but a few days later they received my final transcript with my A.A. degree posted on June 8th!! So I have been checking everyday since but I have not heard from them yet! I know I applied late but I’m starting to freak out since its almost July!

How long did it take for you to hear back once you final transcript posted??

Thanks!

Thanks Swissmiss22, well once it said they received my final transcripts on my oasis account, I called the School of Engineering that day to confirm that they received my final transcript, and I asked them when I would receive a decision, and they told me it should be within 2 days. I received my acceptance the next day. You should call the particular school that you are applying for to make sure they have your final transcripts, and ask when you should receive a decision. If you have now received your A.A. and that you applied for the fall, they should give a decision very soon. Hopefully this helps, and Good Luck!!!
