USF Class of 2023

@reste29 I haven’t yet. What’s it supposed to contain other than the acceptance letter? Scholarship?

I have no clue, I also got in for summer but i might drive in for class during summer and live on campus in the fall. If you find anything out let me know!

@npcarney I will ask my adviser and let you know. I am hoping to save money by staying in my hometown (outside of Tampa), take 1-2 summer classes online and then reside on campus in the fall.

I haven’t recieved a packet yet either hoping to get one sometime this week

If you wanna check what scholarship USF is offering you, log into oasis, click financial aid, then my award and loan info, choose fall 2019, and look under the terms and conditions.
I was offered the Directors award even tho I should be getting Presidential since my super score ACT is a 32. I emailed them so hopefully they can fix this before they run out of money

If anyone is interested there is a FB page for USF Class of 2023 (closed group)…Go to the USF Housing website.

@HHMA2019 oooh okay gonna look now

I checked the my award and loan info on oasis, it isn’t showing any awards. I have 1390 on my SAT and 3.8 unweighted gpa along with many extracurricular activities. Should i mail them and ask about this?

What’s your weighted gpa? @snapealways123

I read that USF give an admissions scholarship to applicants that applied by the priority deadline…Has anyone received this scholarship?

Does anyone know if financial aid and scholarships come with admission packet?

Just watched a video on their website says we won’t be getting a financial aid offer till early December.

@reste29 Ok dumb question but is financial aid different than their merit scholarships?

@snapealways123 Oh okay sorry! Well you should be receiving the $9K scholarship per year. Check this website out.

Financial aid is based of your you’re parents income while scholarships are based off academics

I am really hoping I receive some type of scholarship, by time I start summer 2019 I will have 27 college credits from dual enrollment. If all goes well, I will have 30-33 credits by Fall 2019.

Last year my son was admitted. He got an acceptance letter and a few weeks later he got a scholarship letter. He received yet another letter with his automatic honors acceptance.

FYI- he went to UF where he did not get offered scholarships…

@livingis2me If you don’t mind me asking, why did he choose UF (no scholarship) over USF (scholarship)?

@HHMA2019 Probably since UF is ranked much better and is more recognized. They have a lot more to offer (in my personal opinion but I’d love to hear other ideas). Her son also probably got his full tuition covered at UF so it’s not like he has to pay for UF but not USF. To be honest, if I get into UF, I would also go with it than with USF. I just loved the campus a lot more, the academics are so much greater, there’s more opportunities, and the school pride is unbelievable!
