No letter yet, but my portal was updated. Accepted to communications with an $80,000 scholarship!

My son got an email to check the portal this evening, we got the letter in snail mail on Saturday.

Is there any chance that I could hear back earlier than mid-March if I applied Regular Decision? I feel really disappointed that I missed the deadline for EA. I do have a pretty strong academic record with a 32 ACT and 4.0 UW (8 AP’s & 2 Honors) so I am really hoping that I don’t need to wait until March to get a decision.

I live in NY and still havne’t received my decision. I don’t understand why in this day and age they can’t just post all decisions on portal at the same time. I mean they obviously finalized their decisions last Thursday.

@KIAERK Huh. Seems odd that they wouldn’t just update the portal for everyone! I figured when my portal was updated before I got my letter that everyone’s would be as well, but I guess that’s not the case. Can’t take much longer though–I would be surprised if you didn’t hear back this week!
