@samhyder - the decisions were sent strictly via snail mail last year also, so nothing to do with the new website. It’s just how they do it.

@emjoell - a Twitter search of last year’s acceptances shows that kids on the East Coast received their letters on 12/30 and 12/31. So if this year is like last year, you probably will receive your letter just before the New Year.

I just saw on USF’s Twitter someone asking if letters were sent yet and they responded saying that they were sent on Friday!

If they were sent on Friday, then Bay Area people might be receiving them today!

Ugh, I’m in SoCal and was really hoping to get them before Christmas. I definitely didn’t get them today, and I doubt if the bay area hasn’t received them yet that I’d get them tomorrow. :((

I think many postal office are delivering mail until noon on Christmas Eve so don’t lose hope! I’m located an hour away from USF and the mail arrives at around 4 PM PT! Will keep you guys posted.

When an admissions office (not just USF’s) says something like “the letters went out on Friday”, that usually means the letters left their office on Friday - and went over to the campus mailing center for processing. The processing would probably take place on Monday and the letters would then actually go to the US postal service on Tuesday. So if the letters left admissions on Friday, those of you in the Bay Area would probably receive yours today/tomorrow
SoCal and some parts of the West on Thursday/Saturday and the rest of the country early to middle of next week.
