USF hasn't received my transcript? Should I be worried?

On my USF account, when I go to ‘check my application status’, it says everything has been received except for my high school transcript. It is suppose to be sent electronically and I turned in my request form about two weeks ago. I live in Tampa and go to school here. I’m just freaking out because everyone at my school got a reply from USF admissions two weeks after they submitted their application and what not. I really need to get into USF because I was to confident I would get into UF (but I got rejected) and USF is the only other school I applied to. . .

Ask your school for a hard copy of the transcript (stamped on the envelope so they know you didn’t tamper with it). Send it to USF. They had a problem with my daughter’s electronic transcript too.

They say they never got it, and the registrar at my school said it should take 4 weeks since it has to come from Tallahassee. I just don’t get why other people had everything done in two weeks. . .

Four weeks is ridiculous. If you sent a hard copy, it would only take a few days. Get the hard copy in your hot little hand. Tell them it’s for another college or a scholarship if they’re being a pain about wanting to send it electronically.

Okay I’ll try that. The lady keeps saying the transcript has to go through Tallahassee or something and she seems unwilling to actually give me a hard copy, but I’ll see what I can do.

Florida public high schools can send high school transcripts almost instantly with the automated systems. If you live in Tampa near USF campus, get a hard copy of your official transcript in a sealed envelope from your high school and hand deliver it to USF admissions office before 5:00 any weekday afternoon. The sooner, the better.

haha but after living in florida all my life, I wouldn’t trust the public school system. When I went to send transcripts I checked after a month and they weren’t sent yet my school said the “system was down” so I ordered copies( and paid for it) and then suddenly they got sent and I ended up with like 5 hard copies that I had no use for
