i'm currently a freshman at UCF and i'm having trouble choosing a major for next year. by the end of the summer i will have 30 hours. my current major is advertising/public relations with a minor in psychology. i was thinking of maybe switching to journalism. i'm feeling a little homesick (i'm from tampa) and was thinking about the mass communication major at USF. my end goal is to be either a PR rep for a company, hospital, person w/e or a broadcast journalist, and somewhere down the road get my law degree at FSU, UF or Texas. just in case i don't, which school has the better communication market and program? and explain why.

The Mass Communications program at the University of South Florida is a conditional access program, meaning there are additional admission requirements after a student has been admitted to USF; be sure you check in with USF to make sure you can get in the Mass Communication program too. I’m not familiar with what’s going on at UCF, but I’ve some friends who did the USF communications program and got jobs in the field after graduating from USF, so I guess that is a plus for the program! Good Luck!

my master is speech pathology. im stuck between attending USF or UCF. I am from New York so im not eligible for in state tuition. UCF is still 6000 dollars more a year than USF. Im really undecided on which one to attend. Please help! which one is better for my major, careers, and social life? Please help me out lol

Were you accepted to both UCF’s and USF’s master’s speech pathology programs? USF for speech pathology over UCF no question in my mind! USF’s speech pathology program is widely recognized as excellent. Too, the proximity to all the facilities and affiliated hospitals part of USF Health allows hundreds of future practicum opportunities for USF speech pathology students. Good Luck!

Im an incoming freshman lol but my intended major is speech pathology. It really is a lot better at south Florida? I hope to one day be autistic speech pathologist. Is te program at Ucf bad and how is social life at usf? Like is it a big commuter school?
