USF Transfer Student/Housing Applications

I'm transferring to USF this Fall 10. I applied for the Cypress Apartments, is this a good choice? Do many transfer students live on campus? Any suggestions?

Welcome to USF! Lots of transfers live on campus. The only thing wrong with Cypress Apts. in my opinion is the rent charged–over $800/mo which exceeds my own personal budget. An alternative on campus that would be about $200/mo cheaper would be a suite unit for upperclassmen like Maple Hall–they are next to new and not bad at all, except you wouldn’t have a kitchen.

Too, if you really need or want an apt. type unit, private nearby student apt. complexes can be rented for under $500/mo. Good luck.

Thanks! It’s good to know that many transfer students live on campus. I’ve been saving up, so the price isn’t really an issue for me as of yet. I’m planning on living off campus eventually. I think that my first year away, I really want to get used to the campus. Thanks again.
