That was a joy to read and a well written post. May I ask where you attended college?

Thank you for your kind words. I am currently a student at the University of Central Florida.

Okay… let’s not get too carried away towards sports (although it has a lot to do with schools)

This might be a late reply but I’m still gonna reply anyway.
First off, let me clarify few things. The Dean of Medicine at USF does NOT believe in med school ranking so the College of medicine at USF itself, can not be found on American Med school rankings. (In contrast, UCF participates in the ranking & I have no clue of what their rank is)
Overall, both schools are prestigious and freakin’ great. They both offer awesome med programs. HOWEVER, when it comes to clinical experiences and education, USF outstands. By far. USF allows students to interact with patients starting on your first year, when UCF and other schools in the states don’t allow students to interact with patients until 3rd year (this can mean both bad and good things. I personally think it’s a good idea)
UCF has a newly built 21st century modern sophisticated facility that allows students to do their research and whatnot. (This does not mean UCF is leading in research.) So when in comes to technology, UCF definitely has it. However, if we’re talking about intensity of research/types of research, USF has the edge.
USF has one of the nation’s leading cancer institution–Moffitt, abundant with top notch doctors/faculty.

Also, gotta talk about student finances. I think both schools have a wonderful financial affairs/system but I think the edge should go to USF. USF offers more scholarship and hospital internships (considering there are like 50+ hospitals in Tampa).

Sports wise, they’re both at the same level… (though USF is in the big east) I think this type of question will be answered for sure later.

I know this is a really late reply, but I need some help. I’m a senior in high school de using where I should attend college in Fall 2013. I want to major in cs/ce. Based on the undergraduate programs for cs/ce and the job employment opportunities upon graduation which school is the best (UCF,USF,UF) ?
Thanks in advance.
