So I want to major in health sciences & I’m wondering which college is best. UCF offered me $10,000 & USF just got my application but I think they may offer me something because my stats are pretty decent… I really care about which school will have the best health sciences program or something similar. Eventually i’d like to go into physical therapy or occupational therapy…

Well, if money is a big deal to you I would go to the one who offers the most money Imo, all would give you a great education. On the other hand though, if that is not a problem, idk specifically about that department but I do know that the consensus around much of FL is that UF and FSU are the best schools in the state, and UCF is equal to USF after those two.

You should definitely apply for UF. UF ranks decent in most competetive majors.

Pick the major that you think is important to you, and apply to the college that ranks best with it.

On those selections of universities, UF really wins in most respects.

I agree with Cens about the money and Corn about UF’s ranking.

My 2 cents are, go where you feel at home because that’s what it will be for the next couple of years. USF has a really nice health program (in my opinion) because they have their own college center for it. Like if you ever see one of USF’s color coded map,the upper right corner that is blue is completely dedicated to health because they have the Moffit Cancer center. UCF’s health is… new. At least their doctor of medicine program is. UF is UF

I was have the same problem. I’ve applied to all three colleges, and this is what I suggest: If it is available, check the curriculum and requirements for the major at each of the colleges. I compared all three, and decided that UCF had the best curriculum for me. This doesn’t mean that this is true for everyone. Also, curriculum may be different from what is on the website. But looking at the school catalog, you may get an idea of what the program will be like.

*Note: While I was looking into all three colleges, I found that USF has a Physical Therapy BS/DPT accelerated program. This is the reason why I was attracted to the school. I’m less confident about this school, because I’ve had so much difficulty with the admissions office there, but you may have better luck. Try to look into it if you’re interested, and good luck on your choice.
