I've been doing pretty well on Princeton and Kaplan tests (upper 700s with steady improvement) but today I took the official and got a 700... I mean it's not a horrible score but I definitely would not be happy if that's what I got on my actual one... There were so many cartoons and quotes on the official and that definitely threw me off but I still got a bunch of "normal" factual questions wrong...

Any suggestions?????? I only have one week left... =((

Here’s a tip that I discovered while studying for the World Hist Subject Test:

Take all three of the released tests (2 in the USH/World study book, 1 in the Official CB Subject Test Book), and memorize EVERY answer to EVERY question. They can only test you on so many things for the subject tests. I probably got a good 5 more questions right on the real deal because I had taken two official practice tests and memorized the answers.

I would say that you are stressing too much… anything above a 700 is a great feat. I would just brush up on the topics that you are having the most trouble on… maybe focus on learning how to interpret cartoons and quotes etc.

jamesford is right. Even though, I haven’t taken the USHis SAT, I am gonna take it next week. I took the official test also and got like a 730. It is OK. I understand what you mean by wanting the “higher 700s”. Right now, you can’t do a lot about it because of time constraints. Don’t put a lot of pressure on yourself or you might not do well. Just take a couple of practice tests and focus on your weaker areas.
