Using a Mac as an engineer at UCLA

No, “overpriced” would imply you’re at least getting something for your money.

I meant what I meant.

(Okay, 512 MB dedicated memory deserves an “average”; but the other ones are quite bad.)

Yeah, the Mac people exaggerate the short lifespan of the PC. Nearly every brand should last you at least 4 years. -.-

The thing I hate about Macs is that it’s so easy to tell that they’re old. Because Apple makes so few models with so few designs, it takes 5 seconds to spot out an old MacBook. It really pressures Mac owners to upgrade.

I don’t love PCs. I just hate Macs. They’re the #1 sign that our “promising” youth aren’t so intelligent. Well Obama is the second…

…coming from someone who has trouble connecting to the UCLA VPN remote servers

Hahaha truth be told.

I know how to connect to the remote servers. -.-

I was complaining about the choppy quality of the UCLA VPN connections. Of course, it could be problems on my side (hardware settings, etc.) but considering that I have internet instability at the dorms I am leaning further that it is trouble on UCLA’s side.

It is a warning to potential Mac users not to become too dependent on remote servers for Windows.

No it doesn’t matter. Even if you needed Windows, you can run bootcamp to run any Windows based programs. The only hassle is that you have to install Windows yourself.

To all those people arguing over Mac vs PC, cut the crap out for Pete’s sake. ANYONE who says Mac/PC is better than the other is just a complete fanboy. Why? Because you don’t know the user’s preferences. Some people like Macs, some people like PCs. This is an obvious fact that you can’t change, so deal with it. Mac/PC is a personal choice, not a matter of bragging rights. These debates just get ridiculous to the point where nobody gets anything done or makes a valid argument. The point is to get whichever one that suits YOU- the user, not others.
