Using a one liner

<p>So there was this thread a while back that had an article that gave some examples of favorite opening statements. Do you think it'll hurt me if I used one of the one liners to start my essay? Obviously my essay and their essay will not be the same, but I'm pretty sure the statements in the articles have been recognized by most college readers, and I'm just wondering what might happen if they see it</p>

<p>I expect that a very high percentage of admissions officers are familiar with that article.</p>

<p>And drop that middle name as fast as you can .... or remove the foolishness from it.</p>
