Using ACT w/ Writing for a requirement but have a better SAT score?

Hi guys,

For a couple schools I’m applying to, they will take the ACT w/ Writing instead of SAT with 2 subject tests. However, my SAT is a 2200 SuperScored and my ACT is a 32. I DO NOT have the 2 subject tests, so if I send in a 32 ACT to meet this requirement, can I send in my SAT score as well without the subject tests like they require?

Essentially, can I use my act score just to be able to apply, but then send in my SAT score alone because it is higher? If so, how would I do this? self reporting?

Thanks for the help!!

You do not mention college but all the ones I am aware of that require either ACT or, alternatively, SAT and two subject tests, will not consider the SAT at all absent sending two subject tests.

@drusba I was looking at schools like Tufts and Brown.

Where does it say or how do you know that schools won’t even consider the SAT score?

Since both schools use the word “Or” the better question is why do you think they will consider both? IMO they will use the one that fulfills the admission requirement.
