I was waitlisted at one of my top choices and I've thought of a (somewhat) clever photo to send to the school's admissions office. I've already sent a lot of materials to the office (recs, letter of interest, updates, etc.) and I would like to add a personal touch to my application.

If you're willing to hear my idea, I'll send you the details in a private message. Please tell me what you think of it and whether admissions officers would find it clever or annoying.

Unless the photo is of you joyfully accepting a national prize that the admissions office doesn’t know yet that you won, I think this is probably a waste of time.

I don’t know, sexual harassment charges are pretty harsh nowadays…

Its nothing bad. Basically, its a photo of me playing one of my favorite board games. Coincidentally, the name of the game is part of the school’s motto, so I surround myself with other objects which implicitly spell out the rest of the motto. Its kind of hard to explain without being specific, so yea, any advice would be good.

I doubt that will do much for you.

Sounds kind of gimmicky; doesn’t sound like it’ll help you get in.
