Using AP Score for UCs

I’m still confused about how the AP credits work. I got a four for the world history exam. On the UC site, it shows that I can get a max of 8 credits. So, if I’m not going to be a history major, does that mean that I no longer get to take a world history class? If I do 3 more AP classes, does that mean that I can have a chance to become a sophomore if each ap exam gives you 8 credits?

AP credits are often awarded differently for each major or college. You can look up the AP credit policies by visiting the website for each UC campus and search the term “AP credits.”

Not all colleges/majors allow you to use AP credits to waive out of required courses. But AP credits can always be used for meeting graduation unit requirement.

google your desired UC 's ap credit system, there should be chart somewhere on their site anyhow
