Hi guys. I'm mainly worried about critical reading. Would it be wise to use PSAT CR to study for SAT CR? I don't want to use the PSAT if the content and questions are going to be easier. Some say the PSAT is easier because of length, others say it's easier due to length AND content. Should I use PSAT CR passages to prep for the upcoming October SAT? Thanks.

bump, can someone please answer this? Running out of SATs and idk if I should use PSATs

There is no difference in difficulty. Using PSAT CR passages might seem unconventional, but it really doesn’t matter.

There is not really a difference as kieran said, and honestly any practice will help you. good luck :D

Unless you’ve worked through all the available past CB SAT tests, it’s not a good idea to use tests other than those for a SAT exam that’s coming up in a few weeks. My sense is that the PSAT test is slightly different and somewhat easier than the SAT. Best is to study something harder. If you do (and perhaps you’re also taking the upcoming PSAT) the study of the SAT exams will prepare you for both the PSAT and the SAT

That’s what I thought fog, but idk getting mixed responses.

The primary difference is length. The scaling curve compensates for the differences; the PSAT score is designed to be comparable (after multiplying by 10) to what you would get on the SAT without additional preparation.

Having said that, it would still be better to replicate the format and length of the test you are going to take, if at all possible.
