Using Snipets of One Essay in Another, When Both Essays Are Being Sent to the Same Institution

Hi there.

One of my colleges uses the CommonApp and requires a Why __? supplemental essay. Would it be fine to use a paragraph from my Why _? essay in my CommonApp essay? Or would it look weird for an admissions committee member to see the exact same wording in the two essays? Thanks.

I would strongly advise against it simply because it would likely come across as lazy to the officer.
