using taxact software to fill out your FAFSA for you?

<p>Has anyone tried using taxact software to fill out a FAFSA?</p>

<p>it doesn't fill it out for you. It will ask you a few questions (similar to but not as many as the Fafsa) and then print a sheet that will give you the data to put in the Fafsa.</p>

<p>My understanding is that Turbotax is doing a pilot of a tax prep software that does spill info onto the FAFSA (or something like that). I was one of the folks (there were probably many) who made the suggestion to do this to them. BUT sadly:( I was not selected to do the pilot, and I hope that this is my last FAFSA....oh well.</p>
