Using the alternate option, applying to CALS and CAS --> contradicting supplements?

I am most interested in majoring in psych to later attend med school. However, I am also interested in law and the communication major of CALS. In my CAS essay, I wrote that I want to go to med school, but in my CALS, I might write that I want to go to law school. Will my contradictions be revealed to both colleges? Or does each only receive its own supp?

“Will my essays for both my primary and alternate choice be read by both colleges/schools? It is possible that both colleges/ schools will review your primary and alternate choice essays.”

We attended a great info session for CAS a couple of weeks ago. My daughter was trying to decide between CAS for Econ or CALS for AEM. After the CAS info session we talked to the woman who gave the session and talked aobut my daughter trying to decide between the two so we dscussed the alternate option for admission. . She said that if people use the alternate option and they are applying for 2 completely different things, that they suspect the person is trying to game the system and and figure out a back door way to get admitted.

That makes sense and is what I figured. Thanks!

@ConfusedMominMA‌ If I apply for developmental sociology, I can still be premed. Is that too different from my premed psych path?

I have no idea. just reporting what she told us.
