I have a pretty decent (who are you) kind of essay which also happens to talk about how I got interested in journalism (my intended major).
I have already submitted the Common App. with this essay (topic of my choice).
However, I just noticed (yes, I am a procrastinator) that Boston Univ. asks for an essay about how you chose your intended major:

The PROMPT reads: We would like to know, in no more than 500 words, what experiences have led you to select your professional field and objective. Complete only if you are applying to Sargent College, the School of Education, the College of Engineering, the College of Communication, the School of Hospitality Administration, the School of Management, or any of the accelerated programs.

Any advice on what I should do? The essay I submitted to Common App. I think is good (I didn't procrastinate as much, lol), better than something I could whip up today for their 1/3 deadline.

Question #2: I am having the same dilemma with Univ. of IL-UC. They ask for 2 shorter essays, once again though, I feel like my general essay fits for both prompts, which are:

PROFESSIONAL ESSAY: In an essay of no more than 300 words, tell us more about your professional and intellectual aspirations and prior personal experiences relevant to your choice of a specific college or academic program at the University of Illinois.

PERSONAL ESSAY: The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a diverse and exciting community of students. In an essay of no more than 300 words, tell us more about yourself, describing interests and accomplishments which are not indicated elsewhere on this application.

The MADNESS of it all! (I would really prefer not to have to write anymore essays...lol)

ADVICE por favor!
