<p>Colleges use more than your name in tracking your application right - using for ex Social Security #, address, etc.?</p>
<p>I just want to know because although on my applications I don't plan on putting my middle name, all of my standardized exams and other forms from the Collegeboard (CSS Profile, etc) will have my middle initial on file. Would this be a problem?</p>

<p>Don't go by me because I am not an expert in this but I would think yes, Date of Birth and SSN would be two other big tracking factors colleges use. Other opinions?</p>

<p>Why risk getting your app misfiled? If you put a middle name on all your other documents, you should definitely include it in your application.</p>
