how selective is Ursinus I thought they were raising admissions rate? and can anyone give me there views on the college good/bad i am applying as a premed biochem major

Well, I went to visit on November 2nd and I rather liked it.

The admissions people were very friendly-they were kind to me when I had to call and tell them I was hopelessly lost, and they even helped me find my way.

I had a personal tour. My tour guide was a biology major, probably pre-med, and she gave me a really great impression of the school...took me pretty much anywhere I wanted to go. Pre-med, as you probably know, is really big there, and their admissions rates are phenomenal.

A lot of the kids there are really into sports, but it seems to be a sort of fun thing, like most are in intramurals and all that jazz. It doesn't seem like a jocks-rule-the-school situation, even though I think about 40% of students play a varsity sport. They seemed really well-rounded.

Um... they all were just really friendly--students and faculty. You didn't get that stuck up snob impression from them, which is what I liked. I also love that my interview was just like chillin' out with an admissions officer. It was awesome.

I also had lunch there for free, as part of my tour, and I really liked the food. The dining hall situation was pretty chill. The only thing I noticed was that it was like my high school in that the races didn't really mix. There were a LOT of white kids. I didn't see much else. Most of the black students seemed to stick together (I'm black, that's why I noticed). But overall, the kids were pretty nice.

It's my safety, and I would seriously be fine with going there, so I guess my impression is good? Hope that's helpful. =)
