USNA Candidate Class of 2013. How am I doing?

^^^^ it could be that your congressional district was already over-represented.

The only thing I would add to gonenuts post above is to work hard, be a team player, and show interest. Keep in mind your participation- the good, the bad and the ugly, will be "rated" and will be part of your packet. Having said that, doing well works in your favor..... and attitude is everything.

I'm more than confident that I will work my hardest. As far as running 5:20 after pushups pullups shuttle runs and sit ups... i'll need a little work.

From what I've gathered, as long as I stay in the game, off the bench but not in the spotlight... I should be fine. Can't wait to get out there. Thanks guys.

seriously dont sweat NASS. its a cool experience and lots of fun. one of the best things you can do while there is ask questions and get to know your squad leaders/ NASS detailers. they are a HUGE help when it comes to your application process (remember they recently were applicants too) and then if you are lucky, preparing for plebe summer/plebe year. honestly I still stay in constant touch with my former NASS squad leader and another NASS detailer I became good friends with. most of all though... enjoy it and have fun.

good luck with that schedule man!! i was at NASS session 2 this past summer, hope you had as much fun as i did! i got my offer af appointment about a month ago with an SAT of 1300, but with that schedule...phew, i dont know why they wouldnt let you in. my hs only has 3 ap classes and they still let me in.
