USNA or USAFA

Oh yeah! Nice!

Yeah, but remember something...

Before the Air Farce can get into action, the Marines have to capture the airfields and they're delivered there and supported by the Navy.

Air Force pilots may wear scarves and iron their flight suits, but Naval Aviators always fly the first missions.

And WE never belonged to the ARMY, for Pete's sake!

aaaaaaaaaaa

i have a question for anyone with military knowledge. I plan on going to navy ocs after i graduate. I want to be a pilot and get the elite naval officer status, however i heard that marine pilots have a better chance of getting assigned jets as their career aircraft. But, do marine officers have to do a ground tour before they start flight school? I know they recieve the same training as navy pilots because my bro has marines in his traron at corpus christi. I just don't know.

my roomates older brother graduated in '05 and he went marine air. you don't have to do a ground tour, but you do have to do tbs.

It is more difficult to get Marine air, but statisitaclly you do have a better chance of getting the hornet or harrier than if you go navy. That being said you have a better chance of getting fixed wing as opposed to helos in the Navy due to the large number of different fixed wing aircraft the navy has.

Unless you go USMC, you have zero chance of getting a Harrier as only the Marines fly them.
