Hello all,
Recently got acceptance to NASS 2016. Anybody else?

Yeah I got the acceptance email today for session 1. Pretty excited.
Congrats! Keep on working hard, since NASS acceptance is not related to USNA acceptance. Remember, 2/3 of every entering USNA class does NOT attend NASS. Also make sure to train hard for the CFA, as this will take place at NASS, and will become an official part of your actual USNA application
Session 3 for me. From Philly suburb. You?
Session 3 for me. From Philly suburb. You?
Hi Congrats! Could you tell me what the “from” line indicates on the email. Is is it admission@usna?
I want to be sure it doesn’t junk.
Hey everyone! May I ask what your stats were? I’m debating whether or not I should apply early or wait until I get my SAT scores next week.
@purpledog354 I would definitely apply. I don’t think USNA has a formula for acceptances. My stats were 2300 SAT and 4.0 UW GPA, but applicants from across the spectrum of scores/GPA will ultimately be selected.
@college61728 once you apply are you allowed to edit your information? I just think I’ll get +100-150 on the SAT score I’m getting next Friday so I wanted to wait. If I can change it next week when I get it then I’ll probably just apply, but my CR is on the low side so I was on the fence
@purpledog354 No, you can only submit the application once and then cannot edit anything. The app take likes 20 mins., so definitely apply no matter what
@college61728 how long did you have to wait to hear back?
Does anyone know if it is rolling admissions? I thought the final acceptance date was April 15
@boldin I thought NASS wasn’t rolling, but it is apparently since people already got in. I think results come out April 15th at the latest; that’s probably what that date is
My son got an acceptance email this morning. I heard they send out emails in February, March and April. I’m not sure though. He will be attending SLE, AFASS and NASS this summer.
@CAtoOK congrats to him! How long did he have to wait to get a reply back from USNA?
@purpledog354 I think he applied first week of February so a couple of weeks?
I just got my acceptance email today! I’m signed up for session 1 but I’m still not sure if I’ll be able to attend (personal reasons) so I may end up having to decline…
@purpledog354 For my stats, I applied off a 3.88 UW GPA, 27 ACT Composite (a 23 in science dragged it down), 630 in reading and 580 in math on my PSAT, and no sports (my school doesn’t offer them) but I think it’s the free response question they put more weight on since that’s going to be completely different for a lot of people, plus I feel that I did well on that part.
@greetings12 congrats! I’m a bit hesitant about applying now because I’m from MD, but I’m getting my score Friday and will probably apply then (:
My daughter has been recruited to play a sport at usna and some of the girls from her recruiting class have already gotten into summer seminar. Wondering if we should be worried?
For those accepted: I clicked submit but nothing happened. Is the app submitted or is there something wrong? And @boldin if she’s been recruited then hasn’t she already been accepted to USNA?
