Top 20 has already been posted on the ACS website. (Click on the study camp link on the chemistry olympiad page.)

Just got my part one results back… interesting spread of information (apparently I had issues with equilibrium). I’m wondering when we’ll get parts two and three and when we’ll know about h/hh, hopefully sooner than a month or two :-).

I don’t think you will get results for part 2 & 3. Here is copied from ACS:

Scoring

ACS calculates the average number of correctly answered questions by topic area. Scores are ranked as follows:

* below average
- average
- above average
- outstanding performance

Results

Students will only receive the performance ranking on Part I (multiple choice) of the exam. ACS does not distribute individual scores.

I suppose I should have read that more carefully. Well, I read that, just read it differently that didn’t indicate an exlusion to parts 2&3, but reread, I suppose it could mean that.

Well…the USNCO website has a link to the “top 152 High Honors and Honors students” but the link appears to be broken so far. So…happy waiting? Lol

The link now works. How did everyone do? I managed to get Honors (Top 150).

High Honors (top 50)!

Does that mean we can find out our mc scores?

It depends on the local section. Some ACS local sections will give you your part 1 performance rankings (below average, average, above average, outstanding) for each cluster of questions for the Multiple Choice. I’m not sure if you can get your actual score though for the MC. My local section tends to not inform us of our scores at all.

where can you find the results?

Look at the ACS Chemistry Olympiad website (the main olympiad page). Scroll down to near the bottom and you should see the links for “Top 20 Finalists” and “Top 152 High Honors and Honors Students.” Click on the second link to see all the people including the top 20 students.

Anyone know when we’ll get the certificates for High Honors/Honors?

I believe they mail it to you over the summer.

Anyone else going to try again next year?

Yup. I’ll be a senior next year, but I’m going to try to get to camp next year. I was too rushed this year and didn’t do enough studying as I wanted to so it is lucky that I still managed to get Honors. How about you, sunshine02?

Same here!

Good luck to both of us! :D

I took AP Chem last year as soph and took national test last year but didn’t get anything. This year I took the test after an intense week of studying and made honors list :D

Congratulations! Now ready to do the studying all over again starting in summer? Lol.

Lol yes I will be sure to study more next year…

Haha I qualified for the national (1 of 900 YAH!) But I skipped on the test LOL.

HIGH HONORS! It’s amazing considering how i didn’t even expect to make top 150…
