USNCO Prep books?

Which chem book is better to prep for the local/USNCO exams?
I've read through past threads, and many have said either Zumdahl or Atkins (someone also mentioned Silberberg)...

Anyone who has taken/done well with USNCO, please feel free to comment!

Atkins. Once you become a big boy graduate to Organic Chemistry by Carey.

I had Atkins for a month and c/sh/woulda made the camp. Now I've had it for a year and nearly all of Carey's book done. It's safe to say if I dont make camp this year I'm a legendary PHAIL.

All self-absorption aside, Atkins is the best by far. Do a lot of practice olympiad problems, and if you make the camp...do the preparatory problems.

For local, your chem textbook should be fine. That's what I studied from (but I pretty much had the whole thing read and I was really motivated to beat this obnoxious and arrogant kid) and I got a 58/60. Too bad I wasn't a citizen, but USNCO is a different depth and I don't know how I'd have fared with just my chem textbook. But for local, any AP chem textbook should be fine.

Bump - thanks for the responses! The only downside to atkins is its relative shortage on amazon :/
I'd appreciate any other comments.

Bump! (10 chars)

what's the atkins book called?
