USNCO prep

<p>Hey guys, Ive been thinking of trying out for USNCO this year.
What would I need to do in order to secure my chances of becoming a semifinalist, and possibly make it to camp? </p>

<p>Would I need to start studying from right now itself? </p>

<p>Any advice from previous USNCO'ers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.</p>

<p>Learn Gen Chem and brush up on simple orgo for the local. Learn more orgo and brush up on some advanced topics for the national (which is the qualifier for camp). Use the past exams on the acs website for practice and to give you ideas on what you still need to learn. Most people recommend Zumdahl or Atkins as good textbooks to start with, though any AP Chem or College Gen Chem textbook will do fine. I also made this thread for this year:</p>
