"this year at camp...
5 from Cali
4 from NY
5 from NJ
6 people from elsewhere...

doing the difficult math, 25% were from cali, 25% were from NJ, 20% were from NY. WOW. (thats kinda sad...underrepresentation from the other states"

NJ is also much smaller than either NY or Cali.

^but we're the dense-est :)

and the dirtiest in some sections >_>

How do we sign for the local exam help please? I can't do the natl' exam since i am only a permanent resident (green card) right?

Sorry, you need to be a U.S. citizen. The rule is dumb, but there is nothing to do about it.

if i make semifinalist but not the top 2 in my school can i still write that i'm a semifinalist.

No. The rule is there to prevent one school from stacking up its odds in the USNCO.

so on my college resume i can't write that i scored higher than the cutoff >_>

jw, lol, no i don't do this just for college

wow, 1400 posts in 3 months....I've been here for over a year longer than you have and I have 400 less posts >_>

lol yeah i spend too much time here instead of studying.

did you do the screening exam for the physics olympiad?

not yet. lol

why

do they

all have to be scheduled

at the same time

uh you only have one day left to do it, and bio isnt till next week lol (although I agree it's too close to AMC 12A)

oh
well i really i dont care if i miss this, i won't pass anyways
my teachers are supposedly taking care of everything

haha thats screwed up

edit: do you know how many people take the F=ma test

aw that's too bad, i'm looking at some past tests on the internet and it's not so hard

i heard that to pass you have to get near perfect or only 1 or 2 wrong?

AWW NOW I AM SAD, STUPID TEACHERS WHO DIDN'T REMIND ME >____>
i know its my fault.

now instead of knowing definitely that i wasn't even close to make the cutoff, i will never know...

oh well, i'll focus on BIO MATH CHEM now =(

Near perfect? I doubt it, the cut-off mark last year was supposedly a 75%, and now there are twice as many spots to advance to the next round.

The tests the past two years have been on only mechanics, and therefore harder than any versions you saw online.

EDIT: Just saw somewhere that last year's average score was 30%.
