^ err pyn, only NON-programmable calculators are allowed. if they find you with a TI83+ or higher or any other type of programmable calculator, you can get disqualified

Edit: I think a TI-30 should be fine..though that seems so old!

i love my school-_-

two people got 56's ..and then a group of 8 of us were like 1-6 points away. ....................sigh

was there lots of ochem?

nope.

it was seriously just a little bit of everything.

cut off score for Pa???

^depends on your school. top two from your school take the national test.

i think you have to get past 50 points though

no one else at my school did well. The #2 person at my school said they only finished like 32 questions, and that half of them are probably wrong. Everyone else in my AP chemistry class (10 people) also said that they basically flunked.

I'm positive that I score about a 50-52. But is this enough?

I took it today, and I think I may have gotten above a 50. It wasn't that bad, but specific knowledge that I didn't possess screwed me over.

Does anyone know how many different local exams they put out? Or is the local exam everyone here is taking the same test?

It all depends on your local section. Each section can choose to either administer the ACS created one, or one that the section has created.

Then in that case, I took the ACS version.

does anyone go to NJ and drew university for the local exam

If anyone here took the ACS exam last year, I'm sure you'll agree that this year's test was much easier (then again, the organic stuff was much easier to me after taking Organic chem)

i didn't take it last year, but the test was really really easy this year.

wow, a 53? That's less than what I got last year.

Oh well, all that matters is nationals anyway.

i got a 53 last year going cold turkey, and was in a 7-way tie in the regionals for 10th place.

then i raped the nationals.

let's see how i do on thursday -___-

^ wait we find out this thursday about results? that would be sweet!

uhh im pretty sure our section will notify teachers tomorrow lol --- i think it depends on sections.

@ jdlkem: why do you need to take the local exam? Campers are exempt.....

how long does it take to get scores back?

Also, is making it to Nationals something worth while to mention on a college application or does it only matter if you get to the camp?

Not much of a boost unless you get to camp.
