<p>I hate it when people say “Stanford deserves to be in the top 3. High yield, low admissions rate, etc.”</p>

<p>Great. And HYP don’t have these things? Please.</p>

<p>Plus, there really is little difference between the top 5 or 6 schools academically anyways (besides Caltech and MIT, obviously). The rankings are fun to obsess over, but dividing them into numbers seems to make little sense. I would support US News adopting a “tiered” system, as has been discussed in other threads.</p>
