<p>the US postal service has, for some time, offered a one price box for $8.95 flat shipping (regardless of weight) - many KP parents have probably used this.
I just found out that they USPS is now offering a larger version, flat rate of $13.95. it looks like the 9.95 box, but is larger</p>

<p>I posted this information elsewhere recently, but it might be helpful here too. FedEx GROUND is by far the best deal going to ship to KP. BUT I only have my departure location to go by (Richmond, VA). </p>
<p>Yesterday I shipped an 11.2 pound, 18" x 14" x 7" box full of cookies for Thursday's Cookie Cafe to KPMOM. It cost $8.42 and she received today, as in overnight! Two out of the three times I have sent cookies to her, the box was there next day. The third time it took two days. I suspect it gets to KP so quickly because it is so close to LaGuardia (?). It's so easy to start an account on Fedex.com to calculate and print shipping labels and track packages. You can even request that your son/daughter gets an email upon delivery which is really nice for them to know when they don't go to their mailbox everyday or the mail room runs behind. Hope this is as good a deal in other states!</p>

In running the same package as Mrs. Tweedy from SC to KP via Fedex, with a drop off (not custom pickup at my door) this is their costs:(assume she's using the last one) clearly prices are different for location</p>

<p>APE: So it actually costs less for you to send the same package from SC. Yours would be $7.13, mine was $8.42. I hope I was clear on which service I was referring to - I WAS using FedEx Ground (2 Business Days), but the packages were arriving overnight. Interestingly enough, I sent two boxes on a Friday via FedEx Ground to KP and they arrived Tuesday. Perhaps chances of getting overnight delivery is better during the earlier part of the week.</p>

<p>I'm using hubbytransport.fam :) He's driving to Newark (from Virginia via KP) to leave for China this weekend so I sent to big trash bags (yes trash bags) full of goodies and food....cost to me........well we don't need to go into what hubbytransport.fam charges....but I'm getting a good rate :)</p>
