5.32 W GPA, Idk what that is UW on a 4.0 scale. All AP classes not many EC’s but I’m 10/595 in my senior class (top 2%).
100% attending because I got into Mccomb’s.
Being legally blind probably played a big factor into getting in IMO.

Interestingly, I havent received an “official decision” from them, and it says they’re still reviewing my application.

Under it, it says this though:
Because you’re a leading applicant, we have good news about your admission to The University of Texas at Austin. Your excellent record allows us to guarantee your admission to UT Austin so that you can begin making plans for your enrollment. Learn more about your admission and find out what to do next to begin your Longhorn experience.

I’m guessing (hoping) this means I got in, haha

why don’t you save some money and go to UCLA or UCB which are better schools

Sketchedout,
Depending on what the intented field of study, different schools rank diferently. If I were to study petro engineering, TX is it. If study film, UCLA is it. UCB is very strong in science whereas TX is very good at accounting…Well, you can’t beat CA weather. TX is hot. CA has financial issues. So I would be worried for my tuition increases down the road. TX is generally healthy at the state level.

Texas is also having a state-level deficit problem; there are proposals for tuition hikes. As bad as CA? Probably not, but there might be increases.

Accepted
Plan II
Liberal Arts Honors
GPA UW 3.94
SAT 2360
Texas-Top 7% (yeah, barely automatic admit)
AP Scholar with Distinction
Great volunteering, less leadership, tough course selection
UT knows my high school as a really tough school
Pretty good essays

Accepted to UT and UT Liberal Arts Honors

State of residence: Texas

Stats (ACT, SAT, GPA, AP, Awards, EC, etc.): 35 ACT (36 superscore), unweighted 4.0 GPA, Valedictorian, numerous APs, world ranked equestrian

Likelihood of attending (1st choice, backup school?): Unsure right now… I have an app in at Yale SCEA as well as a bazillion other ivies plus Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Tufts, etc. But it is tempting to choose UT because of the tuition difference - nobody seems to understand this, but I really would rather not graduate in debt :P

^^I 100% understand and personally feel its smart. Especially if Grad school or any other post graduate work is in your future.

Im waiting for my BHP interview. Hey ellipsis1, did you get an email before your phone interview? or was it just a random call? Because Im top 1.5% of my class, 34 ACT score and i have yet to hear back from BHP. do you think at this point that its just a rejection?
