UT 2015 Thread

^I got an email before my interview. When did you apply? I would bet that you would be getting contacted soon about an interview. You’re definitely right in range for BHP from what I can tell.

I applied October 28th…but my friend who applied just a few weeks before the deadline has gotten his interview already. When did you apply?

Accepted
Texas

Applied to Honors
Immigrant from a Spanish speaking country
Bunch of ECs but the main ones are:
VP of the Math and Science League in my school
Top competitor for science tests.
NHS.

I applied October 3rd and just got my interview this week. I don’t think you should be worried. Maybe if in two weeks or so you’ve yet to be contacted you should ask about it, but I would think you would be getting one soon.

I feel like, so far, I’m the most ‘average’ student to post here, haha.

Stats:

Haha, I suppose it’s just my rank that seems extraordinarily low in comparison to everyone else. I always have to put ‘top quarter’ as opposed to ‘top tenth’. But congrats to all! Perhaps we’ll all be Longhorns together next fall. (:

…LOOKING FOR A ROOMATE!!!

TelMeDragon has just made me start thinking that cockrell is not as competitive as i used to believe.

hopefully, I’m considering transferring into cockrell if I don’t make the cut initially (non-auto admit), ^ I agree, those SAT scores are pretty embarrassing unless you had your sights set on UT from the beginning and realized your auto-admittance status, leading you to just not care and sleep through most of the test. I was a bit of a slacker and ended up in the 20th percentile by the end of junior year (at plano east) but I have a reasonably good (2250) SAT. we’ll see what happens

Does anyone know when we’ll find out about admission to Honors programs (specifically to Liberal Arts Honors)?

When did you complete your Honors Application? Did you apply to Plan II and LAH?

I applied LAH and Plan II on Nov. 21 and got my acceptance to Liberal Arts Honors on Dec. 10. I think it probably most depends on when you applied.

Also notable, they only send their decision by mail, no emails. You then have to go through the website to confirm that you received the acceptance and whether or not you will be attending or if you’ll decide later.

collegeshopping - I applied on 11/24, and only to LAH.

littlejess - Thanks, that helps a lot!
