This is my first post on this forum, but I've been reading things on this site for a while now.

I just sent my application for UT-Austin(at 1:50 a.m...) through applytexas(the common application). The deadline is December 1st. With the holidays and all that, will the school receive my application on time to meet the deadline? What if it receives it later even if I already submitted it?

Also, I sent my college transcript for the dual enrollment classes about 3 days ago. The guy there told me that it might take a week for everything to be sent. Is that okay too?
Thank you for your time and help.

Most schools have implemented postmark deadlines, because they understand kids take a while to finalize applications. With that said, I do not know UT-Austin’s policy regarding application materials, but my guess is they have a postmark deadline. As long as all of your materials are sent on or before Dec. 1, then the school will take them into consideration as EA, even if the materials show up much later then Dec 1. Seeing that you applied 3 days prior to the deadline, the school should have a receipt notifying them when you applied, which will make you eligible for EA.

“Documents are processed as quickly as possible. Around the application deadline, it may take one to three weeks for your document(s) to appear on your Application Status page. Thank you for your patience. (Items that arrive by the deadline are considered on time, even if they do not appear online by the deadline.)”
